Dinig Sana Kita

I watched the Cinemalaya Sinco awards night yesterday when I saw the trailer of the movie "Dinig Sana Kita" (If I Knew What You Said). The trailer caught my attention and so I started searching for facts about the movie in the web. The story is about a deaf guy who loves dancing and a girl rocker girl who had been abusing her capability to hear. Despite of their differences, their love for music brought them together. The film stars Zoe Sandejas and Romalito Mallari.

It's too bad that I wasn't able to watch the movie at CCP last July. The hell, where was I during that time?! *sighs* Oh well, if you guys know a site where I can watch the said film or if you have a copy of the film please kindly send me a message. I beg you. Please... XD

A Couple of Hours in a Bookstore

We were dismissed early from our review today and I was hoping that my friends and I will be able to hang-out on the mall. Unfortunately most of them had something to do. And so there I was on my way home with some of my batchmates when I suddenly felt like turning back and take the other road. It's such a relief that I did 'cause along the way I saw my friend Cory. She told me that she's going to powerbooks and I was like "hmm... yeah it seems to be a good time to read a book" so I tagged along.

After eating some snacks, we headed to the bookstore. I took a glimpse at "The little black book of style" and browsed a couple of art books. What took most of my time there was the book by Allan and Barbara Pease entitled "Why Men Don't Listen and Women Can't Read Maps." Learning facts about the two sexes really fascinates me. I was enjoying reading that book that I was able to read 105 pages of it in just an hour. If Cory didn't approached me, I would still probabaly continue to read that book until I finish it.

Here are some of the things that I learned in the 1st 105 pages of that book:

>Men like drinking beer and eating salty and bitter foods because they have more salty and bitter receptors in their tongue. Women like sweets because they have more sweet receptors.
(Or something like that)

>Women have wider peripheral vision, men have tunnel vision.

>Men can only do one thing at a time. Women are experts on multitasking.

And so on... The book reminds me of the book "Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus" by John Gray. It's really nice so if you want to have more understanding of the opposite sex I suggest that you read it if you haven't read it yet. XD

Maou

If you guys are a fan of Touma Ikuta, then you should definitely watch Maou. It's japan's version of the series "The Devil" that was aired in Korea in 2007. Maou was aired on July-September last year in Japan. The story is about a lawyer's (Ohno Satoshi) revenge for the death of a relative and a detective (Touma Ikuta) with a dark past. Below is the opening of the said series. It was sung by one of my fave jpop bands, Arashi. XD

I Love Tita Cory

Today is the day that the late Pres. Corazon Aquino is going to be buried at Manila Memorial Park. It's basically all over the new so you people probably know that already. Hehe...

Corazon Aquino for me is a symbol of Democracy here in the Philippines. She fought for the freedom of the Filipino people during the times of the Marcos' dictatorship. And now, on her death, the sympathy and love of the people out-poured. The other day when I and my mom went to Greenhills Shopping Center, we saw the crowd that were patiently waiting for their chance to take a just a glimpse of her in La Salle Greenhills despite of the pouring rain. I may not know her well but when I saw the live telecast of what was going on during her necrological mass in Manila Cathedral earlier this morning and heard what her loved ones said about her, I told myself wow, she is such a great person. It takes a lot of courage for a woman to stand up and fight for her country and to continue what her husband had started. Even after her death, the Filipinos would always remember her and her contributions to this nation. She will forever remain in the heart every Filipino as the woman who brought this country together.
